Default M8 Hesitation on takeoff

When I picked up this bike new it wanted to hesitate when taking off when engine is first started.I have installed true duals, breather and a FP3 fuel pak.I still have the same issue.Runs and throttle is fine after it gets over initial take off.Anyone else have this issue?I am planning on taking to dealer at next service if problem still persists.

These bikes will hesitate a little when they're cold. Reported by a few, seems normal I guess.

So.. hopefully your dealer is cool and doesn't care you have a FP3.

nah, haven't heard a thing this past year of aftermarket non EPA tuners being an issue with the MOCO factory warranty..next thing you know someone will think just adding slip-on mufflers will void it

I've felt it few times was thinking may be I'm not used to it yet but it didn't matter cold start or been riding for a while.

Have you tried the throttle response mode not sure it's same setup or not but on our 15 Limiteds I chose little moderate throttle response with FP3s.

Have you had a throttle by wire bike before? I still miss the response of the cable. I don't care for the throttle by wire, it lacks in my opinion

The FP3 has the idle at 850 on their base maps, bump all the 850 fields up to 950, go to throttle progressivity and change it to moderate or aggressive and I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Aggressive and race settings on throttle progressivity gives you instant throttle with zero lag, going to 950 idle rpm's gets rid of that little hesitation hiccup.
