Hate to even mention it

With the TC there were several reports of low mileage bikes that experienced lifter failures with the "C" lifters. I have not heard of this with the M8 even though they are using the same lifter. It appears that those folks who felt the TC lifter failures were related to oiling issues might be right. Based on the fact the M8 has a different oiling system.

All use a gm ls based lifter

I think that is common knowledge. And there don't appear to be many failures in other applications. Like the M8. At least so far

Haven't read or heard of any problems like that with the M8s thanks for posting.

Neither have I. Not a single one.

Same basic design, but modified for the oiling needs of a twin cam....

I know several do, but I wouldn't use an LS lifter in a twin cam.....

M8 lifters

Just had my lifters replaced under warranty on my M8 Road King at 3300 mi. Noisy at startup, and intermittent during daily rides, especially after making sharp left turns (go figure).

On my 2016 they changed lifters at 1000 mile service. I was not aware of any issue when I took it in but they did do it.

They changed the lifters in my engine when it got rebuilt because of bad oil pump and out of spec cylinders. And the top end is still to loud imho compared to other M8's I have ridden with and ridden myself.
