2017 Ultra Classic Myst/Velocity Red Price

Without knowing how much he put down on the 2016 there is no way to tell if this is a good deal or not. Obviously they are giving him $1600 for his 2016 but we don't know what the pay off is on that bike.
He might have put a $6K down payment on the 2016 so in that case he is taking a $4400 hit plus any payments he has made.

Thanks fellas for the response. Here are the details. I paid $18.5K from private seller. The dealership is offering me $19,900 for my trade in. I made my first payment on the 2016 and owe $18,300 (+/-). The dealership is selling the 2017 for $24,600 OTD with my trade in it would lower it to $23K OTD.

If you have an eye on an M8, I'd at least wait until 18's are out...... then it might make things more interesting. My wife usually negotiates our deals. She has a unique skill at badgering salespeople into giving her a deal. I bought a 10 ultra classi, 8 months later I bought my M8. She got us a real good deal from our original dealer, we couldn't say no.....
As is right now he is making $1400 on his 2016 (paid $18.5, getting $19.9) so that really isn't too bad. Not very often you can do that.

This is really up to how much he wants a 17 vs 18 model. If he waits for an 18, there is no way he gets $19,900 on his trade. Unless of course you are thinking he waits for the 18's and then makes a deal on the 17, that might work!

I was hoping to get close to $21K for my trade. Maybe that's not realistic on my part not sure.
Thanks for all the feedback.
