I'm curious how many Milwaukee 8 owners would do things differently, knowing then what you know now. If H-D offered you all of your cash back, would you take it and move to something else? A different engine or brand, not a 2018.
I know that a lot of owners have had issues and I wonder how many people would like to just take their marbles and go home, assuming they could get all their marbles back. (some people have lost theirs over M8 "idiosyncrasies")
Not a chance, 6 months in and extremely happy with mine. If I had to do it again I would only change one thing and thats to have bought it sooner
Sorry any naysayers, but my RGS is near perfect. I'd buy again in a heart beat. No complaints. To me the exhaust sound is "Goldilocks" - not to loud, not to quiet, just right. A few upgrades that I'd also do again: an LRS 11" windshield, Oberon clutch and break levers, quick release luggage rack and back rest. That's it. May get a new seat later, but just did 300 mile trip and the seats not too bad.
I'm working on it, I've made offers to a couple of dealers.
'17 or '18? Color?
I'm riding some '18 Softails on Tuesday. Hoping I don't like them too much. I'm a shake rattle and roll guy so the counterbalancers make me think I'm safely going to ride my '16 RK home....
2018 Limited in Wicked/Twisted. I have been talking to several dealers. I thought I might've had a deal on Saturday, but I got tag teamed by the salesman and sales manager. I thought we might be getting close, but they came back and actually raised the price. I was disappointed and relieved, I'd been there three hours and was glad I didn't have to do any paperwork.

Did you ride the road glide ultra? Ive been told they handle better on the expressway. The wicked cherry is a really nice color....... when I bought mine, I arrived at the dealer at 2 pm, I didnt leave until 7 pm. It was a long day, I just wanted to get out and go to dinner.....

I've had my 17 RGU for 9 months now. Finally have it just the way I want it. No way I would go back to a 103 - or any other bike for that matter. This is the best bike - by far, that I have ever owned. and zero problems.
Went in this weekend and looked over the new '18's. There ok, but nothing even close that would cause me to regret purchasing my '17,
I've ridden a Road Glide, but not on the expressway. I just don't like it as much.
They had a Twisted Cherry and it looked very nice, but it turns brown when the light changes. I think I'd prefer the Wicked Red/Twisted Cherry two tone bike.
I was there over two hours just waiting for the salesman. I'd like to buy my bike from them, but I'm not going to pay an extra $2k for the privilege.
I will be at Grand Rapids Harley, which is actually in Hudsonville, this weekend looking over the 18's and buying a windshield. The owner of that Harley dealer is pretty cool, so I would expect you could probably get a great deal from them, if you were inclined to drive that far...... If they gave me a good number, Id get a RGU.....
