What is the benefits of this type AC over a standard high flow?

they flow less than any high flow AC. friend's CVO suffered on the dyno with one on

There are NO benefits to that air cleaner. They flow just marginally better than a stock filter element and backing plate.

Outside of being hideously ugly, there is no benefit. In fact the closing flap, which has no use but visual affect, makes it less reliable than other stage 1 air cleaners.

They are god awful performance wise.

I have ran them on my bikes before. Besides looking cool they dont do much. An you would prolly gain more preformance with another choice of air filter.

Haha - I was going to say something like that. Although I loved the look of the 90's bikes with hyperchargers, this new one looks like crap to me anyway
