Oil Pressure Monitor just says "OK"
On my 2014 SGS, the oil pressure monitor would give an actual number of what the PSI level was. On my 2018 SGS, it either says "OK" or "Check Oil". I checked the owner's manual and you can't change it to give you an actual PSI reading.
Wonder why they changed it? Too many people freaking out when the oil pressure would drop at idle causing them to return to dealer?

Or was it a genius idea??? You now have to buy a digital/analog dipstick that I think is around $100 bucks........if you want true readings.

I had one on my 2014 SGS, seemed to work fine. I just put one the 2018 SGS, time will tell how that one works out.

Agreed. Unnecessary, also. The new bikes take care of themselves. They have an operating strategy to deal with overheat conditions, so why do I care about the oil temp? Oh...I don't.

So if some do care about that, they now require you to buy one....whether it works correctly or is junk I dont know. I know harley offers one as well as aftermarket manufacturers.
