I rode a chieftain today at the AIMEXPO today. The things i liked were:
1. Suspension. The bike handles great and was comfortable over rough roads and bumps
2.Comfort. Me being a small rider the egos were perfect
3.Electric windshield. This was a great feature and works perfectly(Hope HD gets it)
Things i didnt like
1. Heat from the motor
2.Throttle response was crappy
3. The engine didnt feel as strong as my tc 103ho stage 1.

I had the same experience and review as this one with the exception of comfort. I am a big guy 6'4 and 300 lbs. the seat was horrible compared to the bike I picked at that time (15 Road Glide). If they had a seat alternative, I probably would have gotten the indian, but there was nothing available to upgrade the seats.

I ride both a Harley and Gilroy Indian. I like both, especially the old stuff. I'm a member of Indian Motorcycle Community Online Forum that has pretty cool folks on it.

I hope you have many enjoyable, safe miles on your new ride. I like the war bonnet on the front fender.

You will love that bike. I had one for a while and then traded for a Roadmaster. Someday I will get another Springfield as they handle so well and are just a pleasure to cruise around on. Be prepared to spend more time at the gas pump because random people will want to learn about that bike!
