Where is heatwave? He can explain it better than most people. He is on his third engine. To the best of my knowledge, stumping is when the oil pump can’t scavenge the oil out of the crank case. I could be wrong but I think that’s the gist of it.
I have a 70s Triumph that blows oil out the vent tube is the only sumping problem I have experienced but the oil isn't in the engine pan it's a separate location , I didn't have a clue how a HD did
I have a 2017 RGS Stage 1 (picked up Oct 2016) with the sumping issue. Oil pump replaced 1,200 miles ago. I now hear a whistle noise when decelerate. Dealer says MOCO says now is a characteristic of the new pump. No further sumping. total of 13,300 miles so far and loving it!
