Default Fuelpak 3 Question

I put an FP3 on my 2018 SGS last weekend and I noticed that after I installed it, when I would shut the bike down by hitting the kill switch, I could hear the fuel pump buzzing like it does before start-up.

Any suggestions on why this is happening?

Thanks,

Alex

When you kill it with the handle bar switch are you flipping it right back to run?

No, just flipping it off then keeping it there.

Not sure what would be causing that, does it do it if you turn it off by the keyed switch?

Tried it again tonight and realized that it's not the fuel pump I'm hearing, but the buzz you hear from the ECM when you first turn the ignition to the "on" position.

Only does it when I turn the bike off from the kill switch, not when I turn it off from the ignition switch.

From your FP3 app, send V&H an email detailing the problem. They're normally quick to respond and very helpful.

My FP3 doesn't make the bike do that so it sounds like a problem....

Just checked and mine does the same thing only with the handlebar switch though. It is definitely not the fuel injection, sounds like the ECM resetting or something. I'm not concerned with it at all.

Interesting. I shot an email to V&H tech support, waiting to hear back from them.
