Default A.B.S or DIE!

Cant believe there are still people out there doubting the life saving advantage of A.B.S. Two people on a harley are a 1000lbs projectile capable of speeds of 90mph, talk about a death wish! If you dont know what cross linked A.B.S is or how it works you should look it up or watch a video. Awesome.
Better still take a demo on any touring model and slam on the brakes. Tip, brace yourself and dont take a passenger.
See thread on body control module.

In 3 1/2 months, I have put on over 4k miles on my bike. I ride fast, but carefully and try to anticipate "dumb driver" situations; I have yet to see my ABS activate and, as far as I know, the linking has not affected my ride (I brake as if they are not linked).

That said: some things (like a dear jumping into you path from the woods when you are doing more than 35) can't be anticipated. I am glad to know ABS and linking are there! I hope I never need them.

In cars, it is difficult to gauge whether seatbelts/airbags have saved more lives than ABS; ABS has definitely saved more fenders!

Good point, but look how many people still refuse to wear good safety gear.Same old comments,Too Hot,Looks Funny or the best if I have to wear that stuff I'll stop riding. They change their mind when they fall wearing shorts, old helmets that never were any good no jackets or gloves.Seen folks come into the ER looking like they had a fight with a cheese grader and the grader kicked their butt!
Saw a sticker once that said, If Loud Pipes Save Lives Think What Proper Training And Gear Could Do
