Bikes not selling? I was at San Diego Harley a few weeks ago and they had quite an inventory. Then I saw why, the 2017 Ultra Limited's I was looking at were marked up $3500 over MSRP. Saw a 2018 CVO Ultra Limited in Black Earth Fade, beautiful bike, but $7,000 over MSRP. Ain't gonna move bikes that way.

To be realistic, I was at Desert Wind Harley (old Chester's) in Mesa AZ yesterday and they had an Anniversary Ultra Limited on the floor for MSRP. Beautiful bike. I want it. But I think I'm going to buy the wife a slightly used Cadillac XTS for the same money. I'll keep my 2011.

Blanton’s best.......single barrel bourbon. Very good, high quality. I use Jim beam in my barque sauce and pecan pie........

Default Should I should I not?

I recentlty bought the 17 RGS vivid black about 3 months ago. They gave me retail (close to) for trade-in on a metric $8k and I put $5k down so total down was $13k. I finance $10,200. I was shocked with the trade amount.
Yesterday I went to the Dealer and told them if they could get the financing amount to $13k I would trade my 17 RGS in and sign the papers on the 18 RGS White that they had.. The best price they will do is $14k finance+ 15% off accessories + Free install on 14" hangers when I get them...and employee pricing on exhaust. I think that is a pretty fair deal considering that they will let me take off my new chrome RC 4.5 exhaust and my KST meat hooks.
The sales mgr that I know there told me that the owner can buy 2017 RGS from HD for $17k cuz there are way to many left overs...What are your thoughts?

http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/...third-quarter/

Seems millennials are not interested in nostalgia. Harley seems to be trying to cater to them with the redesigned softail line, but we won’t see these benefits until the 4th quarter sales figures come out despite not a popular time to purchase in cold climates. The 2018 Heritage has a more modern look. Wonder what this means for us old farts in the future. Other issue may just be the cost to buy new when they can buy new a Honda Civic for less than a new HD, meaning no one needs a motorcycle, but everyone needs a car.

Yup sorta what most expected but the fourth quarter might show a trend as Southern Hemishere 2018 M8's are tabulated.

Yeap. Copper canyon HD in Butte MT. There small but have been aggressive. I think repeat customer has a lot to do with it too.
