Well basically they could convert a bike back to a cable actuated clutch for less than some of the things they have done!

Thumbs up

2017 Road King. I had to add approx 2 OZ immediately after the 1000 mile service at the dealer. It showed normal when checking with the bike upright, but low when resting on the jiffystand. Just returned from a 1500 mile trip through the Ozark's, and now due for the 5K oil change. Have been checking regularly due to this forum, and so far no loss of tranny fluid.

Well, that’s good news. That’s the way it’s supposed to be.

Great to hear this. Are people taking their bikes to the dealer to get it on record? What is being said?

I have noticed the dropping fluid level on several occasions as well. Dealer added fluid once and then made official record of level when they finished the oil pump replacement for sumping issue. I am taking the bike in for the 1000 mile fluid check this week per the bulletin (it is down again when I checked it). I was curious about whether the lemon law might apply. Connecticut law covers motorcycles. Reasonable attempts is defined as 4 times within 24 months/24,000 miles or 2 attempts within 1 year if life threatening. I have not noticed sumping issue again although the new pump is very noisy especially on colder mornings with a high pitched squeal which is apparently "normal".

14,300 otherwise fun miles. I would love to keep this bike but might look at the 2019 models if they upgrade the engine to the 114.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Cheers!

Just wanted to pass this along for anyone who hasn't heard.
Service manager showed me the same thing last week. Its says fill and monitor

Well now things are getting serious! After the dealer replaced a seal and a sleeve, I rode my bike for less than 200 miles and I’ve had to add in fluid. I extracted about 10 ounces of fluid from the primary! Then less than 50 miles later I had to add another six ounces to the trans. The bike is going to the dealer tomorrow.

Stay tuned!

What exactly is right at this point, lol! I just had my Tech drain an extra 8 Oz.'s laced with dye out of my primary today after 1700 mile. I guess that qulifies as more right that what StevenL808 just went through! He's right up there with Steve Cole!
