Default Transmission fluid transfer service bulletin

Dealer told me today that they received a service bulletin about a week ago for the transmission fluid transfer issue. All the bulletin says for now is check/fill transmission to proper spec, ride for 1,000 miles and return bike. He said no official fix has been released though. Just wanted to pass this along for anyone who hasn't heard.

You get notified about recalls, not TSBs. Bulletins are released for the tech's benefit, not the owners. Just gives them a reference instruction for repair should they have a bike with that issue in their shop.

Ahhh. Gotcha. So then they are aware there is an issue reported in MANY bikes. But they dont know what's causing it, therefore no TSB to send out. No checking newish bikes for potential issues related to trans fluid migration, just handle it when it happens. Sounds about right. lol

long overdue, but at least they took the next 'official' step finally....must have exceeded a threshold for # of reported claims and the first step is communicating the monitoring process/procedure..sounds like maybe the seal/spacer instructions were a shot in the dark attempt..who knows

No sir, I didn't get a number, he just pulled it up on the computer and we talked about it for a few minutes. Said it came out about a week ago.
