Stage 2 Torque Cam Installed - Impressed
#111
Thank you for taking the time to type all that. I have heard that before. Looking at the graphs between stage 2 torque cam and stage 3 they are identical. Maybe I missing something but, equal matching graphs equals the same performance? You sound like you work for HD! LOL just joking of course. I am looking at the graphs for m8 114.

Here are the 2 dyno charts that I believe appear in the 2018 parts catalog and the charts did show enough difference for me to spring for the Stage 3. However, thinking back on my test ride with the Stage 2, that seat of the pants feel still makes me smile but I think the Stage 3 does make the feeling extend a little longer into the RPM range. JMO

I had my torque cam installed over the winter. It's like a different bike, really wakes up the engine. I was not impressed with Stage I, (SE Street Cannons, K&N free flow air filter, SE street tuner). Stage II also tuned with SE street tuner so there is some left on the plate just waiting to be a woke by a Power Vison and a FuelMoto tune. Which will come AW (after warranty.) The torque cam was without a doubt the best money I've ever spent at Harley.

I see your graphs are for a 114 Softail Stage 2 and 117 Stage 3. Seems like your assessment is pretty much correct for that situation.

I recently bought a 2019 Street Glide Special which comes with a 114. I had the dealer install V&H Power Duals, Freedom slip-ones, a Heavy Breather air cleaner, and the H-D torque cam with the H-D Pro Street Tuner, no Dyno time. I also have an ‘06 Deuce with a high end aftermarket 98” build producing 125.7 HP & 114 TQ. It revs quick, pulls hard and is very fun. That being said, the new Street Glide surprised me at how well it runs and pulls after having the Deuce. I feel most budget minded individuals will be very happy with the stage II. Some won’t, but for those folks their are other options. Personally I can see a swap after my warranty is either up or I have some reasonable time on the engine to the WM8-22X cam with a better tuner and some Dyno time....but probably nothing beyond that. I really don’t need the extra pull the Woods cam will get me, but stock is what the neighbors drive and it’s fun to surprise those folks that think all Harley’s are dogs. While I have really enjoyed the Deuce a lot, the reality is that I rarely spank it hard anyway. I spent a lot of money to get the performance, I know it’s there if I want it but I really don’t take advantage of it very often. It’s for sale, and somebody will get a helluva nice bike for way less than they could build one. Story of my life......

I've been talking to fuel motor and I'm considering adding a PV tuner and the Jackpot head pipe.

Ditto but planning on my first "long" trip in September (~1800 miles) before I do any warranty cancelling modifications.
