Default Crack in heat shield

anyone have this happen? first for me, think it just happened today after a ride in the 30's and never noticed it before.. should be warranty covered

If it’s not, let me know, I have the chrome ones I took off my bike. I went with the black ones, working on a total black out.

You may have to send them to China for replacement.

Dont seem to be a lower quality than 15 years ago! No biggie must be free replacement done in 10 minutes!

Probably not covered.Looks like a case of failed maintenance on torqueing heat shields.Merry Christmas

Doubtful. How can you gather that by looking at a picture that doesn't even show the worm clamps...

Wake up.My reply was not meant as serious.Of course Moco will fix under warranty.Post was sarcasm on HD service dept. typical responses.

Sucky deal, but I wouldn't think ambient temps would cause that to crack...probably factory flaw. Keep us updated on the dealer's response.
