such a nice machine! just don't understand using 87 octane when it calls for 91 minimum tho..what do you save, $1 each fill up? seems like the efi/ecm system, knock sensors or whatever would have to compensate and over the long run can't be a good thing..oh well, it's been discussed here before..glad you're enjoying your ride!

Agree, but it is a good looking bike.

Traded in a 16 street glide for my 17 road glide special last August. The bike is outstanding, I love the M8. I got 5000 miles on it, just did the oil change. No problems. It’s kinda funny how we hear about these issues with the M8, but the guys at Fuel Moto and some of the other performance shops say they haven’t seen any of these issues. I just can’t help but think they’re not as common as this forum would have you believe. My local dealer claims they’ve had almost no warranty work to do on the new bikes. Who knows, I know I’m happy with the bike, when my warranty is almost up I’m gonna do the FM120 kit and a real header.

Just traded in a 14 RK trying to jump start my riding and get the Mrs. more involved...she likes the larger touring bikes.
I only have 22 miles on a new Ultra anniv. edition but my short ride home was pretty darn good.
I cant wait to get some more miles (weather looked pretty good here in SE Texas)
Dont know if my limited mileage makes me a satisfied customer! But the ride home did the desired effect of making me want to ride again!

I'll back you on that. I'm amazed at what's waiting...in terms of torque and hp...while cruising at 55-70 mph. Riding 2-up and pulling big steep hills is an afterthought, and it's nice to pull out to pass in 6th and not need to drop a gear. Just roll the throttle and feel the 107 respond.
I have a great friend who dropped a better cam in his 103 SGS so he could have faster passing acceleration and better hill-pulling when 2-up and loaded. At least that's what he told me. Knowing him it was more like "I can't stop tinkering and building my ride."
