My last bike was a ‘97 Dyna Lowrider that I had for 23 years with a built engine, my tuning was done with a screwdriver and my ears, my new ride is a 2019 Roadglide with the 107, the thing is stock and as fast as I need it to be and I’m quite happy with it, but out of boredom and the urge to mess with it I’m contemplating doing some work to it. My understanding is that with mods you need to tune and that’s where I’m lost. My question is, is tuning just as simple as plug and play or do I need to bring it to a shop and have it tuned on a dyno, I’m really not crazy about bringing it in to someone when I can do everything myself. My initial work will be a 2 into 1 exhaust and an S&S mini tear drop or something similar.
That is a term for a set up the have tuned and send to you to load yourself. Vs taking to a shop and having them tune it or some auto tune sessions.
I was just on their page, a lot of options for tuners and I have no idea what I’m looking at. So what you’re saying is, if I let them know what I plan on running, (exhaust and intake) they’re gonna send me a tuner that I just plug in and my bike will run fine with.
They often have a sale on exhaust AC and tuner. They like the Power Vision and provide tunes for life. Fuel Moto is a great company and a value. Their customer service is top shelf.

that's exactly how it works, FM knows what they're doing and from what I've been told their "canned tunes" are pretty close to perfect, a few auto tune sessions and your bike is dialed in.

I don't use the PV tuner but it's my understanding that it has the capability to monitor & adjust your tune as you ride, the end result is an optimum tune that is specific to your bike and riding style.
