The S&S has that vortex directional thing that may help a little with the M8. The M8 manifold is offset to the right making the air horn close to the right edge of the filter, which makes for a tight right-hand turn for the air to flow.

I am considering both the SE Extreme and the S&S for now. Really not sure. The SE can be externally vented easier than the S&S from what I can tell.
I don't recall if he is running internal or external. He did say he thought the air horn would give it a little boost and the plastic backing plate definitely helps get a little more power to the dyno because of the lack of heat transfer.

What about the new high flow AC from Harley. Supposedly flows a lot more then the new heavy breather?

That's what I ordered from my local but something else turned up Dave still waiting was all dialed in to go the SEPST (orange) and some drilled out muffler cats for a stage 1 hit.

These look interesting from T-Mann. Description says they can be used on different size builds and will be the last air cleaner you will need to by. I have no experience with it just sharing.

Nope.... I'm not sure what the material is but it sure is ok at engine temps... the breathers all bolted up just fine with the hardware provided by S&S..... I ran one on my '15 for 65,000 miles with absolutely no problems.... DW
