Did an 11000 mile service on the bike.. While I didn't take a picture of the primary drain plug, I took one of the motor and tranny.. Motor had 4100 miles on the oil. Tranny had 7100..

Nice. Where did you get the fittings? I would love to do this with mine.

Nice job Max, what kind of pressure does the M8 run compared to a TC?

The bracket was made from 10 gauge 1018 cold rolled with the cover made out of 16 gauge of the same.

The only fittings not made were from drag.

DS‑245250 SAE inverted flare male connector, 3/16” OD tube to male 1/8” NPT

and the line.

1204-8407 For 99-08 Twin Cam

The Oil line comes with a 1/4 pipe to 1/4 pipe and inverted flare adapter that is not used. You can go to Drag and punch the numbers in for pics. I was thinking I could bore the adapter out but doing so the inverted flare part would be too weak to use.

The barrel and bolt were made from 1 inch round and 3/4 hex 303 stainless.

Oil pressure is about the same as a good running TC.. Relief trips at 45 psi. 3000 rpm it ran about 40 psi and idle was about 15 PSI.. The was only a short 12 miles run with a couple stops and traffic and ambient temps in the 60s. It will likely drop when oil temps get hotter.

Here is drawing of the 2 flat pieces. You should be able to print them out on a inkjet printer for a template and glue then to the metal .. The distance is shown between the 2 holes so you can check scaling on the print out.

Very nice job on that fab! Too bad you had to do all that to get back what we already had on the info screen...my 15 actually read the oil pressure...my '17 M8 now just gives you an "OK"???? I bet there's a way to flash the ECM to give you back the oil pressure on the info screen..... anyone looked into this???? ...DW
