Well slap my rump and call me Ricky! This should be interesting for sure. Lots of people have been watching this.

Sounds like you think it’s 💦, but it oil that has vaporized in the primary and condensed in the actuator pocket. It is needed for lubrication. If it accumulates to the point it’s over the mainshaft it should drain back to the primary.

I DID think it was 💦...... It sure looked like it to me from up here at my house, lol. That's why I included the "Not very bright" comment as a disclaimer!

For those of us who don't know what exactly was done, can you post a picture of that area before you installed your fix? I have no frame of reference regarding what was installed.

From your original post, I'm guessing that's OEM?

And this is the fix?

From my perspective I can't tell what exactly was installed.

Great work btw, God knows HD wouldn't have stepped up to the plate on this one.

Those pictures show the transmission with the machined nut installed and then the seal and side cover installed. Here’s a picture showing the stock side cover and the side cover with the seal.

I apparently haven’t taken any photos showing the whole transmission with the seal installed. I might be doing this to my ‘15 RG soon, if so I will get pictures from that perspective.

Great effort Stonecold. Following this thread with interest. Thanks for shedding some hope to those with defective parts.

Once again......Johnny one note...... bitch bitch bitch, nothing constructive to add to the forum. Over 4,000 post of the same crap over and over again.
This is what turns off new owners who search these forums looking for useful info, instead they have to wade through s**t like this.

Look at the bright side we are keeping him from spreading his cheer on another forum.
