NEW S&S Sidewinder 2-1?
#21
I talked to a guy at the S+S tent at Daytona this year, they had all of their stuff on M8's for demo, we talked about the sidewinder and he said the MK45 performed as good if not a tad better, I have no clue, just going off of what this guy said, he worked for S+S and seemed knowledgable.

Have it on my 18 road glide. As far as sound it’s different from their video when in person but most are. Pretty deep at idle and im sure with another cam it would really sound off. Its pretty quiet just cruising down the highway or at light throttle but too me its pretty loud under hard throttle. Im actually going to pull it off and go with something a bit quieter.

Hey Pittz. I heard the S&S MK45 slipons on an M8 just yesterday and they sounded really good (I know you were looking st the 2-1 system....). It is the best I have heard our new engine sound with just the muffler. I have Kerker Stout 4” slipons that I like the sound quality of but the S&S’s were louder and better imo. If just a muffler, those would be my pick. I did not get a chance to hear any slipons in person when I got mine. If I had I would have the S&S MK 45’s!
good luck.
Btw, if you ever come to Milwaukee there is a dealer in the south side called House of Harley that has these and a bunch more you can listen to. They have a 2-1 on one of their bikes too but I’m not sure which one it is. But I agree it didn’t sound great to me. They also have various ape bars you can demo on their bikes. It’s a great place.
good luck.

The billet cat is expensive, but worth it IMO, I freakin love mine. Almost when with the road and track 2-1, great pipe too. If your looking for a snarly aggressive roar I highly reccomend it. Even with the stock cam it sounds amazing, and when you change to a real cam holy **** it’s awesome. When I got my bike back with the 475 cam in it I couldn’t stop grinning, now I’m the obnoxious guy with the loud Harley ripping around town and I love it haha
