Guys - definitely let the pros handle this job. I don’t wish those feelings on anyone!

Brad - I always try to find some positive in everything. I’m glad this one went in my favor

So, based on your experience...... should I just take mine to Fuel Moto and have them do it for me? Im thinking, this should be the way to go.
That would have been awful for a couple reasons - a complete tear down including splitting the cases and then being worried the piece was hiding somewhere in there

I may have missed it, but are you going to continue with the cam install yourself?

I was all set to proceed but last I was thinking it over and here’s what I came up with. God is trying to tell me to stop pushing my limits and let a pro take over. I’m going to have the Indy dyno it so I think I’ll have him wrap up the install as well. For a few hundred it’s worth it just for the peace of mind. I don’t want to take any more chances

I'm a little late to the party,,, but I haven't had a chance to catch up on this thread until today. Along with everyone else, a huge congrats to you!!! What an awesome ending to a tragic beginning. Although I'm sure that we were all right up there with you on the puke factor, I'm sure no one could be more relieved than you.

One more thing you can be thankful for.... you were working in your garage, and not in mine. I have one of those epoxy finishes, grey with different colored flakes. You can drop a fricken bolt and never find it again. Wouldn't have 1/2 a chance in ever finding a needle. Good on you Sir. Now its time to sit back, relax and look forward to that sweet cam.

It was the worst feeling ever followed by one of the greatest feelings ever. One thing it did was cure me of tackling major jobs. I’ll let the Indy handle it from here on
