I had a built 107 making 120 hp/torque and it ran smooth at 140 mph. Seemed pretty fun to me on the highway. Once Fuel Moto makes the 120 kit for a Softail I’ll report back with a new mph. Yeah they aren’t build for top speed but doesn’t mean u can’t have some fun beating a CBR 600 in the 1/4... I sure had fun doing it lol

top speed is completely about the gearing - period. You need enough hp to pull the bigger gears but top end is all about the gearing. Factory hd gearing (other than the v) will not even approach 140, not even close. And i would have to witness you beating a 400#, 100hp crotch rocket.

Weight and wind resistance play a major roll in how fast a given vehicle will go.
Cruiser motorcycles are inherently very poor aerodynamic vehicles making top speeds above 125mph a challenge...unless a lot more power is available.
A bagger that “cruises” at 140? I’d have to see some type of proof for that to be swallowed.
