purpleduce it was nice of you to comment on a warranty you have never seen and give follow instructions on this topic , how in the hell do you know this warranty was limited to this dealer and follows the same rules as HD. any and everything that ever happens on a m8 is sumping clutch boom box tire failure every damn thing

I haven’t tested the warranty yet, when they sold it to me they said it was bumper to bumper and covered the performance equipment in lieu of the HD warranty. The tech at the dealership is working on the bike now so I guess I’ll find out pretty quick if I was mislead.

I'm curious, did you have the vents open in your lowers? I think others are on the right track with the clutch issue being heat related with the line.

They worked on the bike today, the mechanic said he took 2 pints of oil out of the crankcase and the oil was cooked. He said the the motor got so hot it fried the clutch hydraulic fluid. I did not have the lower vents open, it was chili when we left that morning. The service manager wasn’t in so I can’t update on the warranty and I’d rather not disclose the dealer or warranty name until I see how this plays out. Thank you to the people that shared concern and I’ll update as soon as I know something more.

Yeah, that's why you don't want to go voiding your manufacturer's warranty right away. They haven't sorted this issue out. Hope that extended warranty works for you, anxiously awaiting hearing how that goes, because you're probably looking at a substantial repair bill otherwise.
