Very few state lemon laws cover motorcycles. Check your state: http://www.lemonlaw.com/state-lemon-laws/

What was the date of manufacture, how many miles. What happened, what were the symptoms, how hard do you ride your bike.

Any other info that you can give.

Yours is the first that I have heard of or read about.

My 114 Heritage Softail with a 10/17 mfg date is just under 5,000 miles with a dealer installed HD Torque Cam and SEPro reflash. Is run very hard, extended cruise at 90 to 100 etc. No issues.
i have since gotten rid of the bike, so I can’t say for sure when it manufactured, but I think it was 09/17.

Symptoms; I never heard any strange noises (I do wear full face helmet and ear plugs). I never experienced loss of power either, and I paid attention trying to see if I could detect that. I would occasionally get a burnt oil smell. What lead to the diagnosis was oil leaks on right side of engine. When I took it to dealer I mentioned sumping, and they said I was the first and only one to complain to that point. Anyway, they mucked about with the bike for almost six weeks, performing various tests as directed by HD, and then waiting on parts. Once it was finally done, I rode it home and then got rid of it.

No more HDs for me until the M8, or it’s successor, get oil management fixed correctly.
