Funny, I've yet to notice any real heat coming off my 17 RK even with last years high 90's days , runs cooler than my shovel does.

Sumping is real. I’ve seen it up close and personal many times.

well I picked the bike up with 2 miles on it, rode it through Houston rush hour traffic on my way back to Port Arthur. When I got home the inside of my right thigh was beet red!

I installed the high flow fans (cool flow and oil) and it's been fine since then.

Oh and I just checked my fluids before a trip last weekend, was about 1/4 quart low and that was in 5K miles so pretty sure it's not sumping

Get the fan assisted oil cooler. It may not solve the problem, but it will cool your oil thus cooling the engine better. I feel like my bike feels cooler after installing it, and the oil temps definatly are not what they used to be. I used to see 250+ before, now I pretty much peak at 230, and it takes awhile to get there. These bikes should have come stock with it.

we have them on both our M8's, I'm a believer..with that, EITMS enabled and perhaps the Cool Flow fan and deflector I think is a worthwhile first alternative to messing with expensive exhaust and aftermarket tuners, etc. to try and reduce 'felt heat' if that's ones' main goal
