no chance, even with the few problems I've had would consider it an overall enjoyment experience downgrade

The TC was no panacaea either. Read through this guy's report (not saying it's the truth, just that it's another opinion) and then see what you think.

no ,you move forward in life not back, unless you have sentimental feelings for a certain model , there is no point, I for one would love a 2008 cvo springer ,but wouldn't change my new low rider for it.

Can't say because I don't own an M8 but the stories here stopped me from buying one and keeping my TC. Do I really need 3 more HP that bad? Nope, Ill stick with what I have and keep buying more older bikes.

Had 3 103's that served me well. The M8 is serving me even better no reason to go back wards . Do not put a lot of faith in what you read on the net about issues, The M8 two up and load will bury a 103.

If people aren't going back to the TC that are dumping their M8's, I wonder what they're going to? No shortage of low mile M8's in the autotrader up here.

Go back to a TC after owning an M8? Hell...…….why own an M8 with so many good used bikes out there? Bikes with fixes if needed! I see guys on the forums praise the M8 & that's similar to the problem bikes discussed on here; For example: "250,000 M8 bikes out there. Here on this forum we've heard of, what, maybe 20 sumping?"

Im willing to bet there are not 250 thousand bikes being ridden - the majority are probably still on dealer floors, as well playing devils advocate & using the above line " there are 250,000 M8 bikes out there & what only 100 members here praising them & 20 that are sumping?"

The M8 has to prove itself - nothing wrong with the TC & for all these people drooling & saying its the best handling, most comfy, most powerful, best HD that ever sumped or migrated fluid in the history of the Moco……….Well Ive ridden the new bike - its got its ups & downs BUT - its not light years ahead of the TC to a point where one must absolutely trade in or sell a TC because the M8 is that much better - cause its not!

I watched a guy on an M8 get dusted by an Indian 111, what ever he had going on in that thunderstroke put the M8 in its place real quick, actually we were joking with the Indian rider calling his engine the "thunder joke clacker" which prompted the showdown. so respect all around for TC`s, M8`s & even the Thunderstroke 111.

Hell No!

This is the best harley I've had. Had more problems with my 15 and the wife's 15. Cannot believe the level of paranoia around the M8 on this forum. I frequent 3 dealers and never talk to anyone who thinks the sky is falling.

Like Webby and others have said many times the number of bikes having issues is probably less than 1%
