Oil Light Question
Got what I hope is not a dumb question reference the oil light on my 2017 M8 in my Tri-Glide. I just got back from a trip, and am due for the 5000 mile check up. I am actually at 6500 miles, but use synthetic HD only in the bike. While on my trip, every once in a while when starting the bike, the oil light will come on and stay on unless i shut it down, turn it off, then restart. then it goes away. Oil checks as full to proper level, and stopped at a dealer who did a quick check and said everything seemed ok. Does anyone know if I am getting the light because I am due for the service (getting done 6/23) and it is kicking out a code or could this be some kinda sensor? Thanks!
I should add that it has never come on once I have restarted with it going off. Only when parked for awhile. Doesn't seem to be temp related because it has done it on hot days and cool mornings.

Most likely the oil pressure switch. take it to Dealer they will change it. And test to make sure that is the issue. Has nothing to do when service is due or not. Codes will trip the engine warning light , some codes will trip the red security light.
My 2017 did it on a trip rolled into Pigeon Forge HD . they took it in right away tested replace switch free coffee and back enjoying our day in no time.
