Not likely to warp a rear disk on a new bike with 2700 ?Never seen it even on Harley's with 100000 miles.
A really hard braking fast ride down a long mountain pass can result in warped front disks.Usually you can straighten them with a wooden broom handle and some sharp taps with a 2 lb hammer!
More likely the vibration you feel under your foot is the ABS kicking back on the pedal..Dosnt take more than water on a paint line or a spot of oil on the road. The telltale is the accompanying clacks of the caliper brace on the frame mount.Every Abs bike I've had has done the same!

My '15 Limited has done that since day one. Also has slight pulsing in the brakes like a smallish thick spot on one of the rotors, but at least it stops reliably when I want it to. Probably the most that can be hoped for with MoCo-designed brakes. Low expectations means less disappointment when dealing with their bikes.

I just ignore it.

Just an update. Went in for the 5k service and asked them to take a look at the rear brakes. They blew out the calipers with an air hose and treated them with SBS brake treatment. Fixed the issue for about 150 miles before the noise came back. Brought it back and they are taking another look. Service writer says it may be just one of those things that never goes away.

It may just be your pads seating and settling in. Mine did that for about 4K then it went away. It also would go away if I rinsed the rear wheel and removed the brake dust build up. Once you go through the pads you might consider some better pads. Lyndall or EBC, etc...

Went to pick the bike up and didn’t make it out of the parking lot. Service Manager test rode the bike and was able to duplicate the sound. It’s not the brakes. It’s something in the suspension. The weight transfer causes something to rub under the bike. I’ll post what they find

1690Mike1,

I had a similar problem...groaning sound when coming to a stop during low speed braking. It was worse after the bike was warm.
Turned out that the drive belt was WAY TOO TIGHT! As the bike warmed up it got even tighter as the pulley expanded.
My dealer adjusted the belt during my first service and it has been quiet ever since.

Heard from the shop today. They took the rear wheel off and check the bearings and just about everything else they could think of. Still nothing. They called H-D “tech support” this morning. Haven’t heard back yet. Stay tuned...
