475 cam and D&D

Just curious on your dyno numbers.. I have the exact same setup on a 17 street glide. My dyno come out with 111hp, 116tq. I’m taking mine back to my dealer because it’s pretty rich down low. I am getting around 30mpg. It also seems to be a little hesitant between 1000-1300 rpm. Just curious how yours tuned out.

i ended up with about 109 horsepower and 113ft lbs on a hot *** afternoon, pretty happy with the numbers. Seems this cam pretty reliably makes around those numbers in people’s bikes. my tuner turned off the o2s below 3000 rpm, he said he does that to help keep the engine cool, he showed me how to change it if it doesn’t run good like that but it runs great. I’m getting about 38-42mpg, but it sure drinks gas fast when I’m hot roddin it.

In the lower gears its fine, I believe it made about the same as stock on the dyno graph, but its pretty soft. I don't ride down there though. You gotta kinda ride it like a twin cam, 2500+

Just wanted to share my review of my current setup on my bike. Screamin Eagle ventilator, D&D Billet Cat, S&S475, and a powervision. My first impression of it was “holy **** that thing sounds awesome”, changing the cam in an M8 really wakes em up!! This cam sounds amazing! Cruising on the freeway I used to not really hear my exhaust much, even with the billet cat, and now it’s almost too loud! I almost did an SE torque cam last winter and I’m really glad I didn’t. If you want a hot rod setup this is it, it Lopes hard, the exhaust barks loud, and 2800rpm and up it goes like a raped ape. I think even at 2200-2500 it’s not that soft, it still wants to go, there’s cams with broader power bands for sure with this pipe but I love how this sounds and how hard it accelerates!! Again, it’s a little soft on the bottom, but for the way it sounds and pulls I’m very happy. Maybe it’s lame but how the bike feels and sounds to me are almost as important as the performance. The billet cat sounds amazing, none of the videos online are even close to what it actually sounds like, the only small complaint I have with it, is I think the way the pipe mounts on the transmission using 2 of the cover bolts has created a small vibration I can feel at about 3100-3300 rpm sometimes. Not a big deal but it’s there. Anyways here how it sounds.

I know this post is old but I was wondering if you are still experiencing that vibration that you were picking up on? I too noticed some vibration upon accelerated loads at around that 3000 rpm mark. I just installed the billet cat on my 128 build and saw your post. It may be in the base tune but just thought I’d ask thanks.
