Default 475 cam and D&D

Just wanted to share my review of my current setup on my bike. Screamin Eagle ventilator, D&D Billet Cat, S&S475, and a powervision. My first impression of it was ďholy **** that thing sounds awesomeĒ, changing the cam in an M8 really wakes em up!! This cam sounds amazing! Cruising on the freeway I used to not really hear my exhaust much, even with the billet cat, and now itís almost too loud! I almost did an SE torque cam last winter and Iím really glad I didnít. If you want a hot rod setup this is it, it Lopes hard, the exhaust barks loud, and 2800rpm and up it goes like a raped ape. I think even at 2200-2500 itís not that soft, it still wants to go, thereís cams with broader power bands for sure with this pipe but I love how this sounds and how hard it accelerates!! Again, itís a little soft on the bottom, but for the way it sounds and pulls Iím very happy. Maybe itís lame but how the bike feels and sounds to me are almost as important as the performance. The billet cat sounds amazing, none of the videos online are even close to what it actually sounds like, the only small complaint I have with it, is I think the way the pipe mounts on the transmission using 2 of the cover bolts has created a small vibration I can feel at about 3100-3300 rpm sometimes. Not a big deal but itís there. Anyways here how it sounds.....

Bike sounds great. I think the S&S 475 is the best looping cam I've heard so far.

thanks! The video doesnít even come close to doing it justice. Itís an absolute hot rod now. I got about 200 miles in on it today. Itís screams out of the cornersit and it really wants to accelerate hard. Iím very happy with it. I think if I decide to do a big bore in the future I might see how this cam works with a 117 bore. Getting it dyno tuned on the 27th hoping for a little more bottom end then I need a matching chrome back wheel for my front and then Iím just gonna enjoy it for a couple years 😄

I also have the S&S 475 cam coupled with road rage 2-1 and it is quite the ride. Like you say, it’s not that bad on the bottom but once you hit 2800 rpm it flat gets with it. It pulls hard clear to top end. It’s a lot of fun for sure.
