M8 114 Stage 4 rev limit
Is there a particular reason the rev limit is cutting off around 6400 rpm? Its most annoying in first and second gear. Engine has a ton of power still available and shows no sign of faltering. What would be the harm in bumping it up to say 6700. Is there a technical reason for such a shallow cut point?

How do you know this? If the rev limiter kicks in, then the dyno chart stops there.
How many more hp do you think you'll get in that next 300 rpm? Even more importantly, how many tenths do you think you'll shave off before the next red light?
6,400 is plenty, unless it's a pure, purpose-built race bike.

Generally Stage 111 and 1V M8s are not capable of more than 4800 revs on a flat road In 6th!
Of course you will meet many guys who can exceed these figures, sitting on a stool at the bar!
