Right We're all imagining things! Those 3 stock 107 engines I blew? I made it up!

Yeah, this part of the forum has become pretty lack lustre with all the fear generated on the M8. Lots
of posts going around in circles and not much worth reading

I don’t doubt some have had problems for what ever reason but to claim the whole model line is stuffed is just BS.

Hopefully we we can move on soon and share some good stories, have a laugh and post pics of *****.

Wonderful PR piece and exactly what I expect from most dealer mechanics. It doesn't address why HD is replacing oil pumps and engines under M1450, so that must not exist. Yeah, that's the shop I'd want to have work on my bike for sure.

without HD publishing the failure rate stats on these issues we'll never really know the true scope and magnitude..for the owner going through a catastrophic failure, multiple in a few cases, it's a dumpster fire of a problem..we live in a major city with many large dealerships and ride with a lot of M8 owners in and outside the region and these problems don't appear to be prevalent after 2 years now.. all we can can know is what we see and hear in our personal experiences

Op has a m8 softail that runs fine so far. So any issues with the touring m8s are hogwash? Thats kindawhat i get out of this post.
Dont fool yourself bro. If there wasnt a issue forumn members wouldnt be posting day after day about the same problem. Yes the interney can be a little untruthfull at times. But in this cases or many cases with evidence on sumping an migrating you better believe its atleast possible. Now regardless if you wanna worry about it or not is up to you. But when harley sends out fixes an startes making new parts you better believe its real. No i didnt wanna read about these issues either after spending 25k but i did. An im glad in a way because now im atleast informed of the issue. Never the less there not perfect Nor is any.
