Default Oil Cooler on a Twin Cooled M8?

Has anyone put an Oil cooler on a Twin-Cooled M8? Did it help with heat? Kinda deceiving if you ask me that twin cooled insinuates the combination of Oil Cooled Engine and Liquid Cooled Heads.

Twin cooling means air and liquid. No deception at all.

They work well if your riding in the hot weather states they can cool your motor down about 50 degrees make a nice difference on your legs in stop and go traffic. HD has a nice one little pricey but works well

I wasn't aware HD has an oil cooler for the twin-cooled M8 yet?

+1

They don't and apparently they don't need one. Most report that even in the hottest weather, oil temps are under 230 degrees - those that have installed temp gauges or monitored some how anyway...

I’ve installed the Harley Oil Cooler on my 2018 RGS and ive also installed the love jugs Minis. My Bike is a stage 4 running a Thundermac tuner. Thunder Mac has a great feature that will make your check engine light blink when your bike is overheating. I witnessed the light blinking myself one day while stuck in heavy traffic. Since installing the oil cooler and the love jugs, I’ve been in traffic equally as bad in hotter temperatures and I’ve yet to see the bike start to overheat. Definitely worth it in my opinion.

You may have missed the OP's original question. The Harley Oil cooler for your 18 RGS will not fit on a Twin cooled M8... On another note, I agree with lp... Mine feels cool as cucumber in just about every riding condition. I'm sure it's getting pretty warm sitting in traffic but the EITMS kicks in and the fans are running... No issues.

Thanks for the clarification. In that case, I would still consider Love Jugs. The cooler the better.
