Around 100. The problem is really my knees. I have to stop, get off the bike, and walk around for a bit. I have a bad back, but the seats on both my bikes do not seem to aggravate my back much.
I usually stretch a bit before rides, and it does seem to help.
A friend of mine told me years ago to keep to 125 +/- miles and break either to top off or just to get off my butt for ten or fifteen minutes, his reasoning is that heading off a sore butt is better than trying to continue to ride with one. I have followed his advice (depending on the trip I'm on between stops, fuel etc.) and it has worked well for me. A sore but takes a lot longer to get rid of (usually a nights rest) and more than justifies a few extra stops especially since I'm on the down hill side of my 60's.
this thread should have been broken into 2 parts...Part 1 for riders under 50 years old and Part 2 for over 50...bet guys under 50 would outlast us old broken & sore farts who get up to pee 5 times a night

Tank to tank and I'm 43. Longest single day trip was Miami Florida to Lancaster Pennsylvania in 21 hours. Seat makes all the difference. Russell daylong with a backrest on any long trips

and you'd be right at the average miles ( 55 ) per hour per day on most time on the road calculations

Maybe now on today's pussyglides, when we oldsters where young bucks your range was still about 125mi or a tank of gas, it's all relative. Never saw the need to pound the saddle with my *** for hours at a time, miss too much of the world that way.
58 here and I'm good for prolly 100-125 with a Sundowner seat. The rides are meant to be enjoyable so I stop at the first sign of discomfort ANYWHERE in my body.
