The "Human Hair" being 0.0020" is a variable......... I know for a FACT that a blonde pubic hair is thinner than a red pubic hair and BOTH are thicker than 0.0020"! Or at my ex-girlfriends were!

Exactly! Why would the MoCo sell and recommend an oil filter that would allow a bunch of crap through it that could/would harm their motor and have to deal with a ton of warranty claims because their motors are grenading?

Hate to pop your bubble but all HD needs to do is select a filter that will get the motor through warranty..

Right, but there are guys out there, me included, that get the ESP on a new model for "X" amount of time and then maybe even extend it some more, so yeah, I'd LIKE to think MoCo would think a little longer than 2 years, but I've been wrong before.......... twice today alone as a matter of fact, lol!

I think they exceeded that..of all the problems we read about has oil filters, or oil, or spark plugs been a real or perceived problem area of concern? heck, decades ago I used Motorcraft spark plugs in my other vehicles because I read somewhere they were the best..the older I got the more I ride and think less about insiginificant and inconsequential stuff like that..but carry on with the analysis paralysis off rodent hair vs dust mite micron levels

I sure the stock filter is just fine. Just make a statement about all they have to do..

I have no doubts that the oem filter is adequate. I'm just wondering if it will make it run better and cooler. And if it's enough to even be noticeable. Guess we'd just have to see some test results.
