Good to hear she got it fixed. But dont like it that another regular had had problems with there m8. I mean i understand guys never being here coming to vent because they had a problem. But when the regular guys that back the m8 everyday start having issues makes me wonder if you know what i mean.

I was told a couple days ago by the machinist doing a valve job on a set of heads that I'm going to use when I go to 117" that there are M8 heads that are experiencing broken valve springs. He said there was a span of vin numbers that Harley says has the defective springs and they are replacing springs in those vin numbers. Loose seats are also a problem even in the stock heads so he has a way to pressure test the head to check for that. I just asked him to get a good set of aftermarket springs to put in the heads so I wouldn't have to worry about it.
If you bring up patrick racing inc on facebook it has a video of his Newen single point cutting a valve seat on an M8 head. It will cut both seats on either the exhaust or the intake side to the same depth within .001 thousandths. That's what it says on the video header, it could be it is just one thousandths or it could be .000001". It is suppose to be the most precise way to cut seats. When your doing two valves operated by the same nonadjustable rocker arm it is pretty important to have precision.
MJ, you're pretty good at embedding videos, maybe you can do that one.

Did you happen to catch those range of VIN's? I'd be interested to know.
