Default No oil pressure got my attention

2017 TG. 9K miles.
Rode to lunch about 3/4 mile. Went in and ate.

This is what I see upon startup

To be honest, I wasn't panicked. I shut-down the bike and re-started and all was well. I wrote it off as a momentary false indication. I hit the start button as soon as I turned the key on. Maybe the sensor did not have time to record the pressure yet.

I've noticed that if I hit the Starter button right after I turn the key, it doesn't always respond the first time. It is as if some internal checks are not yet ready.

But the fact that I got dual indications concerned me. Has anyone else seen this?

Yes. I think mine did the same when I had a faulty oil pressure switch. Take a look at the connector just in case. It's down by the brake pedal.

My 17 limited just started doing this. They will replace the sensor on Friday morning.

I can see why it would get your attention.

Default Trouble codes

If you hold the odometer reset button down while turning the key on it should show 2 DTC’s CO522 and 523 low voltage to the oil sensor.

Well timed post, similar story a couple weeks ago. Turned engine off waiting at construction stop. Daydreaming and cars started moving so i fired off without letting ignition, ecm, FI initialize like i always have. As i was riding off noticed oil pressure lamp stayed on, pulled over checked things out. Started up normal and lamp went out after couple seconds and never came back on since. This was the first time it ever happened in the 2 years

When my pump went bad and was causing oil pressure to go super high then low to no pressure. It showed Check Oil, never got that blank message, probably a sensor

They replaced the sensor on mine. Light would either go out after start like normal or stay on until the bike was shut down. It never came on once it initially went out if it did go out and never went off if it stayed on after starting. I haven't had a problem with it since they replaced it.
