Default rode the FXDR today

engine runs and feels really 'coarse' compared to my 107..fun bike, took it along the twisty river roads..I could make it work I think, if add some mini apes and backrest..neck and back are sore, need to go get some Advil..cheers!

The bike looks small under you, esp in the first photo.
Its kinda small or you’re kinda big.
Think you’ll like your king for all but shortest trips. Bet it’s a hoot anyway.

I know harley needs to attract new customers and I like the looks of the upcoming adventure bike and street fighter. But damn that bike is just ugly. The plastic shroud on the front that makes it look water cooled (without the benefit of water cooling). That ugly flap above the rear tire. And that big plastic snorkel of an air intake that wouldn't look out of place on a Polaris Razer.

...I do want to demo one soon, but I thought I'd like the SportGlide but didn't. Not a forward controls person, I guess. That FXDR looks like it's missing the back half of the bike. I'd bolt a tour pack above that rear fender, might look more complete. Also looks like it has the same Victory turn signals that the newer Deluxe has.

I like to ride, if you know what I mean, so forward controls and a kicked-out front end are deal killers for me.

Wow, that does look really small under you. At 5'9", my Breakout fits me perfectly, and i'm guessing the FXDR will be really similar. The forward controls on my Breakout aren't as much of a stretch as on older Harleys i've tried, i find it very comfortable. Looking forward to trying the FXDR, the looks are growing on me, but not enough that i'd trade my Breakout for one.

It kinda looks like Ducati's Deavil, not for me. But I do like that HD is reaching out to new markets.

Strictly. Hard to imagine that in a Harley showroom along with the classic looking bikes. A bit George Jetsonish to me.
