Default '19 M8 Boom GTS CarPlay Hack?

Just picked up a '19 FLTRXS with the BOOM GTS system. I'm aware this unit has Apple CarPlay (which the MoCo has disabled WITHOUT the use of a H-D wired/wireless Bluetooth headset). My question (and hope) is that someone in the tech community will figure out a bypass or hack for the headset requirement. Any one hear anything? I have no other need for a headset and don't wanna spend the money for the Bluetooth one just to keep it locked in the saddle bag in order to use CarPlay. As is, the stock map system is infinitely better than last years...but still.

I wasn’t aware you had to use a HD wireless head set thought it had to be a wireless Bluetooth. If so this is were HD sucks they just continue to shoot there feet off. Its going to catch up with them it always dose

The mic requirement is from Apple.. not HD. Carplay.. in theory.. is supposed to be mainly voice controlled.

Will any Bluetooth mic/earpiece work? I'm out of town and away from the bike or I'd be testing it myself.

Will audio still play out of the fairing speakers when a head set is plugged in? If it does I was considering plugging in a cheap third party headset and stuffing it under the seat.

I have no need to use Siri, she doesn't understand me most of the time anyways. It doesn't work well in dead silence, I can just imagine how well Siri works when you're bouncing down the highway at 80 with a good set of pipes basting away. Getting the audio out of the fairing speakers is adequate for me.

You'll also get more help probably if you post in the Audio thread, which is specifically geared towards........Audio. There are some very smart guys in there that might give you some direction.

Using the GarageTalk app. Can't seem to find the Audio thread. Since the issue I'm actually looking for is more Visual than Audio... is there an AV thread?

This is not true. I have the Sony double din on my bike without a mic plugged in and CarPlay works just fine.
