if this is the only powertrain mod you are planning because "i want it just a little louder"..why not just get different mufflers instead of kicking your powertrain warranty to the curb along with maybe needing to have it tuned with an aftermarket tuner and the expense and hassles of doing so.. it might run cooler as well but...

You dont "need" tuner, but... If for some reason I made those changes I would not contemplate doing it without running a different tuner / map.

no i'm not chasing a shovelhead sound,shovelheads have their own sound that an m8 can't match nor do I want it to.i'm after a little louder sound.maybe you could try to post something useful to this thread .thanks to everyone else that had positive comments.i'll probably keep it the way it is until warranty is out then do some more mods.
