Forget about the cobra powrpro. The moment you installed the rineharts you voided the warranty.

Unless the bike is going in for an idle speed re-calibration (as some 2017 models have required under warranty) it may never be noticed by the tech.
This ! It's a piggy back unit ! Just take it off !

Not necessarily, most aftermarket pipe brands make EPA compliant stuff for the 17's & later. My Fuel Moto Jackpots didn't dink my warranty.

Here’s the thing here, if you put in the synthetic oil, your engine oil is good for 10k miles. So the only thing being done at 5 k is checks and a couple torques.
With synthetic the change intervals are 10k for the engine and primary, 20 k for the tranny. Don’t let all the nay sayers waste your money, changing synthetic at 5k is an utter waste of money.

uhm, seriously? sure the oil "can last" whatever your interpretation is on that..it's the additives that break down..and of course the oil filter needs to be changed by 5K unless you believe that "can last" 10000 miles too...the naysayers you speak of are everyone in the industry, which unanimously agree to follow vehicle manufacturer instructions whether it's car, motorcycle, whatever, and your recommendation here is just your opinion

its not my opinion, it is in the manual. The 5k oil change is for the standard oil, filter as well.

you have a Harley Owners Manual that states in the service schedule engine oil is to be replaced at 10000 miles if using synthetic oil? a pic of that page for us would prove you correct and I would apologize for being mistaken

I'm not interested in an apology or going to look it up to prove anything. You can change your oil and filter every 500 miles, I don't care. But the fact is, the 5000 mile oil change interval is based on the standard SAE 20W50 standard oil, not the SAE 20w50 synthetic blend. With the synthetic blend you can extend your oil and filter interval to 10000 miles (according to HD, in reality its probably closer to 15k). The biggest advantage to synthetic oils IS its ability to not degrade between oil changes, not its viscosity.

the only fact here is you are wrong..HD has never included a 10,000 mile engine oil OCI service for any of their motorcycles regardless of oil composition, in fact, 5000 OCI with filter is the maximum and states it should be performed sooner under certain conditions, which in reality reflects many rider experiences..and btw..Harley doesn't offer a syn blend so there's that

Do the service yourself, and save the money and grief. You can't just remove the management system anyway, it is needed to go with the changes that you made. There's no better way to get familiar with your bike than doing your own service.
