Just got my '18 RG back today.
It definitely engaged sooner and had noticeably more free play.
\None of this bothered me - just reporting in.
Separately, my complaint about poor radio reception was fixed - what a difference ... the antenna cable wasn't connected.
Just another reason to sell short HOG stock even though I like their motorcycles and really want to keep liking them.

Had mine done just now. Took him 1 hour and 6 min. Watched the whole thing through the shop window. Works like a champ and I don't feel any difference in the engagement point or lever feel, so I am happy.
On the paperwork, I love what it says:
Work Resolution: Technician performed actuator inspection, clean, replacement and clutch bleed per the bulletin. Vehicle operating as a proper representation of a Harley Davidson Product.
They have a waiting list over a 100 long already and they get 2-3 kits 2 times a week. Glad I got mine done early.

Mine acted the same. It turned out there was air in the system, now it is just like before the recall. No free play and engages out at the end.

When total pressure plate movement is checked, there is likely some tolerance assigned to the measurement. Could be due to indicator position, holder stiffness or some other thing. It certainly possible that the tolerance is large enough that air could change the friction zone and the total travel spec is met.
