At 1600 miles on my M8 was given a stage two upgrade, now the oil that was in the bike only had 600 miles on when the work was done. I’m doing an oil change right now, I wanted to see any metals stuck to the magnetic oil plug if any, oil has an extremely strong smell of gasoline even though it doesn’t have that many miles on it does anybody have any insight to why it has such a strong smell.

What tuner do you have on it,and what tune do you have.
did you have it dyno tuned or was a map just added.
You shouldn’t have any gas smell in your oil sounds like the tune is too Rich with fuel.
Don’t think anyone could help much with this little information,but it does sound like it needs a better tune.

Vance an Hines pro pipe and ventilator intake, TTS tuner and Dyno tuned. I have no choice but to watch mpg and take a oil sample after 1000 miles. Was really interested to hear if anyone had any experience with this before.
