changing handlebars--2018 FLHTK

Looking to put 12" handlebars on a 2018 FLHTK--changed bars before but not on a Dresser with heated grips--anyone done this and how hard was it---thanks

I just finished installing new Chubby bars and heated grips on my 2019 Street Glide Special and ran into no issues except for having to order extensions for the wires leading to the switch housings. Just follow directions in your service manual. When I did my first bar change on a 2014 Limited I was very nervous. I was most nervous about removing the ignition switch, but again, following the directions in the service manual there was no issue. I take pictures of each step so that I can remember how to reverse the process. Also, there are a number of YouTube videos you can watch that provide good information. Good luck and be patient.

I did a writeup from when I installed apes on my 2017 FLHTK with heated grips:

Hope that helps.
