Default Has anyone a warranty claim denied due to non-EPA mods

So, we’re 2 models years into the post EPA ruling. I think we all know what the warranty description is. But, I’m curious what the actual history has been.

Has anyone had a warranty claim denied, due to non EPA compliant modifications? If so, let us know the details:
- what was the failure that was denied warranty coverage?
- what was the modification to your M8 bike that caused the warranty to be denied?

Yeah, my M8 sucks in smog laden air, and emits rose petal scented pure air.

Oil Pump Failure, Over Bored Cylinders From Factory.

FP3 on the bike with map loaded, Dick Head Dano HD Rep admitted HD built junk and voided the powertrain warranty. Dealer rebuilt engine on there dime.

Several people in several threads have. psycheck or something like that is one I distinctly remember. His dealer ended up doing right by him and ate it but they could have easily said tough ****.

The use of an aftermarket tuner such as FP3 was involved in each of the ones I read about.

Bottom line is any aftermarket product that skirts factory EPA mandates is grounds for denial. This will a battle that will run long & hard in coming years, 2017 regulations changed the game rules wise.

We are all aware of that. But, I’m curious who has actually had a warranty claim denied.
