Default Oil Pump

Hello, I have a 2017 Road Glide Ultra M8 107". The bike was bought in late July 2017.
I'm upgrading to a Stage 2. I'm using a Woods 22x cam with new Woods lifters and all new parts where they should be.
The engine has 18,000 miles and always ran fine. I just want a little more grunt when pulling on
When I got down to the oil pump, the part number is: 62400144.
My question is this: Is this considered a good pump, or do I need to replace it while I'm in here?

If you’re already in there, may as well replace it

The oil pump backing plate with new "Seal" is the upgrade you will want, PN: 62400125. You could also upgrade your pump to current specs as your pump is not current.

I thought the issues pop up on Stage 3 and 4 and 117ci CVO. Stock engine capacity seems to be okay... have I misunderstood?

That's what I had understood. Oil pump issues were with Stage III and IV motors, mostly because of running at higher RPM to use the power band. I'm going to my dealer tomorrow and see if there's an upgraded pump, or just what they've seen. I'll post on my findings.
This bike has ran like a champ for 18,000 miles, and I'm not easy on it. I ride for fun. I'm not changing the rpm range, I'm just adding a cam that will create a lot more power in that range. I bought a package from FuelMoto, and they said they had seen no problem with the oil pump in all of these upgrades they've sold. FuelMoto did recommend an S&S oil pump upgrade with the big bore big cam kits they offer, but again that's for a bike constantly running in the upper end of the rpm range.
I've used FuelMoto for years and never had a problem. I just thought I'd ask here to see if anyone had direct experience.
More info to come...

I agree, the stock pump with the new seal actually works better than the S&S pump and plate on pulling oil out of the sump.

The new seal? Is that in the plate that covers the pump? Or is it between the pump and the sump? I'm looking through my parts manual now....
Thanks you guys. This is exactly what I was looking for.

Get the new back plate with seal and go ahead and put a new pump in. If the feed rotor is worn or has any undue marks on it. Replace it. I'm replacing my pump and back plate. The back plate with seal was like $23 online with free shipping because I bought other parts. Adjustable rockers and rocker shafts, bought the pump from a local dealer for $80 OTD. The feed rotor is in good shape as is the cam plate.
