2019 CVO Street Glide died on first day
My buddy picked up his brand new 2018 CVO Streetglide in Battleship grey. We rode about 80 miles between 80-100 mph and the bike just cut out. Checked codes and said oil pump? Checked oil, it was low (sumping???) and we added a liter. Anyway, could not get it to start so had it towed back to the dealer. They said it was a bad crank position sensor, which they changed and said the bike was ready. Anyone have this sort of issue on brand new bike? I know about break in riding, but not my bike.

Is it a 18 or 19 model.

I have heard about breaking in your bike the way you ride it, but this is ridiculous. |
Couldn't tell says 19 in two different places.

If it's an '18 then it doesn't have the oil sumping fix.
Our service writer bought a brand new '18 CVO and the engine grenaded before the break in was done. The service manager showed me the pistons. Not pretty. |

Wow. I would expect that to happen if I were him. |
Sorry, I believe its a 2018 model. We are in the Philippines, so not sure how the years get reflected for overseas markets. Even if broke in corrctly, it would probably still have the same issues. I dont think riding it hard is the reason for a bad CPS or if it should be sumping from out of the box.
