Default Dakota Digital MLX-8414 Gauges-Installed

I received my Dakota MLX Gauges 2 days ago and finally got a chance to install them. I had the older older version (Red & Blue) Dakotas on 2 prior Street Glides and always thought they added good functionality. This new version blows them away! Thousands of various config options and all can be done via a Bluetooth IOS/Android app.

Those look great! So do you have any trouble reading them in direct bright sunlight?

No sir...if I did I would change the lighting to another combination. There are a ton of options and all can been done via the smart phone app.

What's the process on setting the odometer with the miles on the original gauge?

You have 100 miles to reset the odometer to the original miles. Better question is, "what happens after that?" Not sure if it then pulls the mile from the ECM or not.

Okay, I rode in direct sunlight today and these gauges are awesome! They switched to something like a high contrast (no colors) automatically.

I have the blue ones and they look badass but I hate the fuel gauge because it's so inaccurate to read compared to a needle or actual discreet LED blocks. The way it glows is just goofy to me.
