If you have the room in the parking lot I'd suggest a small 5x10 or so enclosed trailer to park it in, they don't depreciate very much & that would also keep it safe from vandalism, might also be the way to get both vehicles there. Just an option, as I know how you'd feel if the paint got messed up, that's one the bad things about denim paint, very hard to fix.

i think an issue would be any grit from a dirty bike getting into the lining of the cover. This would me cumulative and any wind could damage the paint by either micro-scratching it or buffing it.

The cover I have (H-D cover) has some fleece lined spots on the underside of it but not all of it is lined. I usually place a thick blanket or a few towels over the tank, rear and front fenders before putting my cover on to protect the denim paint from the cover rubbing the tins due to wind. This same cover put some tiny surface scratches on the gloss paint of my previous bike so I don't take any chances with my denim paint. It's a bit more time consuming but gives me peace of mind while using the cover and my paint has remained mostly flawless.
